LITHIUM CHEMICALS TO SUPPORT THE EUROPEAN ENERGY TRANSITION

400000

By 2030, Europe will demand at least 400,000 tonnes of lithium chemicals per year (source: Deutsche Rohstoffagentur DERA)

40000

Each of Livista Energy’s facilities will produce an initial 40,000 tonnes of battery grade lithium chemicals per year with the capacity to startup an expansion of similar capacity to match the market needs

850000

Livista Energy will help power around 850,000 Electric Vehicles every year

Livista Energy will construct Europe’s first two standalone lithium conversion facilities capable of processing from a diverse range of feedstocks including recycled battery materials supporting Europe’s circular economy

Europe’s pace to decarbonise increases the need for qualified, reliable and sustainable chemicals but lack refining capabilities, which creates a gap in the European lithium-ion battery supply  chain.

Livista Energy is positioned to be Europe’s largest sustainable refiner of lithium products that can accommodate all sources of raw Lithium material including from battery recycling to become a major contributor to the circular economy of the lithium-ion battery supply chain.

Livista Energy will have the capability to refine recycled battery materials close to direct consumers, delivering traceable premium quality products.

The initial planned capacity of each plant will be 40,000 tonnes per annum of high purity lithium chemicals ramping up in line with the market growth using potentially expansion of the same capacity to each plant.

PRODUCTS

With increased demand for Lithium-ion Batteries, local supply hubs are now forming around traditional automobile manufacturing centres and renewable energy storage capacity. Modern manufacturing lines are supported by cathode manufacturers and battery cells assembly plants.

While Europe is essentially dependent on Asia and South America for its refined battery grade Lithium supply as of today, Livista Energy will build Europe’s first stand-alone lithium chemical converters to supply these hubs with the critical battery grade materials necessary to meet market growth in e-mobility and energy storage.

Livista Energy will contribute to Europe energy independence by ensuring that the supply chain of Lithium-ion Batteries remains in Europe with products having a high level of traceability and sustainability. With Livista Energy, Europe will remain at the forefront of the green energy transition.
